Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.
  • All authors have approved the submission of this manuscript.
  • The manuscript is not currently under consideration by another journal.
  • Any potential conflict of interest has been disclosed.
  • Ethical standards and relevant research guidelines have been followed.
  • The authors agree to the journal’s copyright and publication policies.

Author Guidelines

Ethical Compliance
By submitting to Research in Physical Education, Sport and Health, authors confirm that their work adheres to the journal’s Ethical Publishing and Research Integrity Policy, which follows the COPE Core Practices and COPE Flowcharts for handling misconduct. All submissions must meet standards of originality, transparency, responsible authorship, ethical research conduct, and accurate reporting. The full ethical policy is available in the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement. The journal follows COPE guidelines for handling authorship disputes, plagiarism, redundant publication, and data or image manipulation.

Publication Process

The submission of manuscripts will be acknowledged via email provided by the Affiliated Author during the submission process. All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process, and the publication decision will be communicated within two months. Authors may appeal editorial decisions following COPE recommendations for appeals and complaints. All editors and reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest before participating in the review process. Authors will also be informed about the journal edition in which their article is likely to appear.
