The Research in Physical Education, Sport, and Health (RPESH) journal welcomes qualified scholars, researchers, and practitioners who wish to contribute to the advancement of sport science by serving as peer reviewers. Our reviewers play a vital role in ensuring the academic quality, integrity, and relevance of the research we publish.

Who Can Become a Reviewer?

We invite experts with proven competence in fields such as:

  • Sport and exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics
  • Motor learning, neuromotor psychology
  • Sport pedagogy, coaching science, sport performance
  • Sports medicine, sports nutrition, adapted physical activity
  • Sociology, philosophy, and psychology of sport
  • Sport management, sports law, facilities, and governance
  • Physical education, didactics, educational technologies
  • Individual and team sports, martial arts, combat sports
  • Military sports and comparative sport studies

Reviewers should hold at least a Master’s degree (PhD preferred) and have experience in scientific research or relevant professional practice.


How to Apply

To express your interest in becoming a reviewer for RPESH, please send an email to:

Your email should include:

  • Full name
  • Academic affiliation and position
  • ORCID (if available)
  • Short professional biography (5–7 sentences)
  • List of reviewing interests (3–10 topics)
  • Link to Google Scholar / ResearchGate / Scopus profile (optional)

Once your application is reviewed, our editorial office will create a reviewer account for you and contact you with further instructions.


Reviewer Responsibilities

RPESH reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide fair, objective, and constructive evaluations
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all manuscripts
  • Follow COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers
  • Review submissions only within their areas of expertise
  • Complete reviews within the agreed deadline (typically 14 days)
  • Declare any conflict of interest before accepting a review invitation

All reviews are performed through our double-blind peer-review system.
